Grapes Berries sizing for export quality
In Egypt we use to dip Superior seedless grapes in order to catch 22 mm diameter size for export. The stage between 7 to 9 mm is the right time for that treatment with Gibberellic acid (GA3). Concentration vary from 10 to 20 ppm according to other farming related factors. A 10% or 20% trade products tablets used for that purpose ( 1 tablet 10% + 100 Liters of water = 10 ppm GA3 ).
Dip the bunches completely for 10 seconds. The water must be clean and not dirty to avoid berries burning in dipping application, so change the dipping water each 3 to 5 vines according to how much dust on the berries.
A trusted liquid calcium product (Stopit 24%) could be added to the dipping solution (200 ml/ 100 Ltrs water); to enhance berry quality and help GA3 in its job.Please find attached video shows how to dip superior bunches.
